Montu R. Bashambu joined Rivada Networks after practicing corporate law with Shearman & Sterling – New York City and Fenwick & West – Silicon Valley for eight years.  At these law firms, he primarily advised boards of directors and senior management of public and private technology companies regarding transactional, regulatory, corporate governance, intellectual property, employment and other corporate matters.  He also structured, and negotiated and drafted agreements with respect to U.S. and international merger & acquisition, corporate finance and other strategic transactions.  His clients included Cisco Systems, Elantec Semiconductor, Exodus Communications, FormFactor, Good Technology, Opsware, PEFCO, VERITAS Software, Wild Brain and Zambeel.  Mr. Bashambu is admitted to practice law in California and New York.  He earned a B.A. in political economy, summa cum laude, from Tulane University and the London School of Economics, and a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Tulane University School of Law.
