Joseph M. Titlebaum has joined Rivada Networks as general counsel, effective immediately. Titlebaum was founding general counsel of XM Satellite Radio and has since been involved with a variety of technology, media and telecommunications ventures, including a tech start-up he co-founded that was sold earlier this year.
A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School and holder of several U.S. patents, his expertise includes managing sophisticated joint venture, finance, investment, and corporate transactions, including IPOs and mergers and acquisition activity; intellectual property and technology licensing; the structuring of commercial agreements and regulatory and government affairs.
“Joe’s industry experience, entrepreneurialism and legal acumen are a perfect fit for Rivada as we usher states through the FirstNet opt-out process and pursue other opportunities,” Rivada CEO Declan Ganley said.
“Throughout my career I’ve looked for disruptors with great ideas and the technology to match,” Titlebaum said. “Rivada is just such a company, and I’m excited to start working full time with Declan and the rest of the team.”
Titlebaum has been providing strategic advisory services to Rivada since earlier this year.
